Blackjack Assume Dealer Has 10

Blackjack assume dealer has 10 years
Thanks for this post from:
I've read many book about cheating: Cheating at Blackjack, Cheating at Blackjack Squared to name a couple. Read up on John Scarne and Darwin Ortiz. The subject propelled my interest in blackjack.
Although it would have presented better if I had Bicycle playing cards, here I am with a deck from Golden Gate.
A second deal and false shuffle:

If you assume the house will draw a 10, however, you would be inclined to hit. Let us put it another way. With correct strategy, an average casino blackjack game favours the dealer by around 0.60 per cent. When you play as though there is always a 10 in the hole, the house edge goes up by nearly 10 per cent.

Doesn't even include dealing seconds, another dirty little hand held trick I've run in to ONCE when I was playing a lot more blackjack. It would be ignorant of us to assume no cheating has ever happened at a casino, whether the house was in on it, rogue dealer, whatever.

I remember being at the Shoe about 17 years ago. Almost all their games were single-deck then. Dealer had a belt buckle that was flat on the top. He leaned close to the table and held the deck such that he could use the shiner to glimpse the bottom card. The angle from his eyes to the shiner to the deck was perfect. I watched him carefully and got the impressing that he was only trying to have a little practice. Of course, it could have been my fertile imagination. Dealer
I've watched dealers for years in hand-held games. I've never seen a second deal. But I have seen all the signs that there might have been a second deal. When the dealer deals the cards and the deck moves as though it's riding in rough seas he might be in the navy. Might even know the anchorman.

There was one dealer at the EC I refused to play with. A tall, broad shouldered Eurasian that had a habit of smirking as he drew a winning card. Maybe he was the luckiest dealer in the world but I simply saw too manty coincidences when he was around. In twenty years, he is the only dealer I can say I was convinced was cheating. Maybe some others are better at it.

Just for your presentation purposes, decks are never sorted Ace through two. For Poker the Aces are always on the top of each suit. Spades on top, then Hearts, Clubs and Diamonds. For Blackjack Kings are on top for Hearts and Clubs. Aces on top for Diamonds and Spades. The red cards are reversed in the order for Blackjack, with Spades on top, Diamonds next, then Clubs and finally Hearts on the bottom.

John Scarne, Dustin D. Marks. Stanford Wong has some cheating methods in some of his books. Do a google search and look on YouTube. There's plenty of information. Also, search through your library's catalog.

if they possess that kind of skill, wouldn't it be more profitable for them to use it on the poker table instead of a blackjack table? i mean even if the casino promised them a cut on the win, they would probably win much more if they team up with a friend on the poker table.

Many petty criminals are skilled. They could apply them to real life situations but prefer to do crime.
